Jared Sturgeon, M.D., Ph.D., is board certified in radiation oncology. Dr. Sturgeon loves being a part of someone’s individual cancer journey. He is always humbled to be a part of a person’s care team. He is grateful to live in an age when so much progress in cancer care is made. From proton therapy to immunotherapy, there have been great strides in advancing treatment options for all cancer types.
Dr. Sturgeon always was interested in leading-edge technology and had a passion for caring for cancer patients. That led him to proton therapy, which is on the forefront of radiation. Dr. Sturgeon wanted to continue growing his knowledge and experience with that technological edge. He always wanted to ensure that people with cancer could return to a life that is as normal as possible. He feels responsible for helping them with their treatment and minimizing side effects that could linger or cause secondary issues. He entered proton therapy because of the possibility of helping people recover with limited disruption to their quality of life.
Dr. Sturgeon treats all adult cancers but specializes in head and neck, breast, lung, gastrointestinal, and reirradiation cases. He understands that every person and cancer is unique and is passionate about working closely with patients to ensure they receive the highest quality care.
He enjoys spending time with his large family.
