Caroline Coombs-Skiles, M.D., FACS, is board certified in breast ultrasound surgery and general surgery. Dr. Coombs-Skiles has been practicing breast surgery in the Austin area for more than 10 years. She specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases of the breast, including benign and malignant diseases. She leads each of her patients from diagnosis to recovery with expert care using the latest technologies for personalized treatment. She performs both biopsies and surgery of the breast to achieve the most desirable cosmetic and oncologic outcomes.
Dr. Coombs-Skiles has an experienced team that works together to treat each breast cancer patient with an individualized comprehensive plan. Her focus is helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment in a gentle comfortable environment. Her special interests include oncoplastic surgery, applying plastic surgery techniques to breast surgical oncology in order to maintain the size, shape, and contour of the breast. This includes hidden scar surgery. In addition to supporting her patients, Dr. Coombs-Skiles also participates The Susan G. Komen race and the Austin Art Bra auction raising money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer.
