Proton Therapy for Children
Pediatric patients have unique sensitivities to radiation due to their developing bodies. Because of this, proton therapy is often a preferred treatment option for pediatric cancers. Pediatric proton therapy can target tumors while minimizing radiation to surrounding healthy tissue and vital organs.
At the Texas Center for Proton Therapy, our radiation oncologists are trained to deliver proton therapy for childhood cancer, using advanced equipment designed with pediatric patients in mind. What sets us apart is our collaborative, patient-centered approach — we prioritize the needs of our pediatric patients and their families every step of the way. While our Texas Center for Proton Therapy is located in Irving, Texas, some appointments may be available via telemedicine, allowing families to access world-class care closer to home.
