Bridget O'Brien, D.O.

General Summary

Dr. O'Brien is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist. After completing her fellowship, she expanded her clinical experience as a surgeon and assistant professor at a community-based academic hospital in Columbus, OH.

Dr. O'Brien treats male and female benign and malignant breast conditions including fibrocystic disease, fibroadenoma, nipple discharge,  gynecomastia, abscess, mastitis, diabetic mastopathy, breast cancers, Phyllodes tumor, and breast sarcoma. She performs minimally-invasive office procedures including ultrasound-guided biopsy and aspiration.  To achieve the best operative oncologic and cosmetic outcome, she uses Oncoplastic and Hidden Scar techniques for lumpectomy and nipple-sparing mastectomy.

Dr. O'Brien was raised in West Virginia sparking her love and appreciation for the outdoors. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, road cycling, traveling and cooking.  She has a great interest in male breast cancer, triple negative and HER2Neu positive breast cancer, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, intraoperative radiation therapy, and patient education and advocacy. She is a national speaker for Bright Pink, an instructor for Hidden Scar Surgery, and a guest speaker for Susan G. Komen Columbus.
