Kory Jones, M.D., FACS

Kory Jones, M.D., FACS, is board certified in general surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. As chief resident, she developed her passion for breast surgery and ultrasound techniques. She is certified in Hidden Scar surgery, practices flat aesthetic closures, and continues education in oncoplastic and ultrasound procedures. Dr. Jones always wanted to be a doctor. The first surgery she observed impressed her because the surgeon made the patient feel better almost instantly. She wanted to make that kind of impact. She was called to breast surgery after seeing her mother fight stage IV colon cancer.

She also cares for women with a high risk of developing breast cancer to reduce their risk. That can be due to genetic predisposition, family history, risk assessment and/or other factors. She develops deep relationships with the people in her care and their families. Dr. Jones approaches each person individually, considering the specific diagnosis, life experiences, culture, and circumstances. She works collaboratively with the patient and an entire team of healthcare providers to reach the best outcomes.

She and her husband, a pilot, explore the country in their antique airplane. She enjoys being at home with her husband and dogs, gardening, and cooking.
