Srinath Sundararajan, M.D., FACP, is passionate about cultivating relationships built on trust with his patients and their families. Dr. Sundararajan is now seeing patients at Texas Oncology–Katy and Texas Oncology–Bellville.
Did you always know you wanted to be a physician?
I’ve had a fascination with the art of healing since childhood, but it wasn’t until high school that I started developing an interest in a medical career.
What are you most proud of when you reflect on your medical career?
I enjoy building relationships with my patients. The physician-patient relationship starts with the initial visit and develops with each interaction – bringing a range of emotions that include friendship and joy. Reflecting on my career, I am very proud of the fact that I have always been able to earn my patients’ trust and have tried to make a difference in their lives.

Who inspires you and why?
I draw inspiration from the smiles I see at home with my family and at work with patients and colleagues. Happiness is contagious and gives me the impetus to go the extra mile.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I love cooking, hiking, and listening to music in my spare time.
Where is your favorite place you’ve ever visited and why?
I have several favorites, including beach destinations such as Hawaii, Cancun, and the Bahamas. I enjoy the water, walking in the fine sand, and seeing the sunsets at the beach.
