Treatment often brings with it a myriad of side effects that can get in the way of optimal nutrition. This presentation will cover nutrition strategies for nausea/vomiting, mouth sores, taste changes, fatigue, and loss of appetite.

Nicole Hodac, MS, RDN, CSO, LD, is an oncology dietitian with Texas Oncology — Baylor Sammons Cancer Center. In her 10 years of clinical experience, Nicole has supported patients with cancer in the maintenance and improvement of their overall well-being through nutrition education and counseling. She serves as a patient advocate on the medical oncology team developing healthful eating plans for the reduction of disease risk and progression to healthier lifestyles. Nicole continues to be an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Oncology Nutrition dietetic practice group.
