Renee Sendelbach was diagnosed with breast cancer 11 years ago at the age of 31. A year later, her cancer metastasized to other parts of her body. Under the care of Beth Hellerstedt, M.D., at Texas Oncology–Round Rock, Renee received chemotherapy, surgery, and a bone marrow transplant. For metastatic cancer patients like Renee, advancements in medicine are improving survival rates and quality of life. Today, Renee says she is doing well and will continue to defy the odds.
