A group of physicians founded Texas Oncology 30 years ago with this in mind. Patients don’t have to choose between high-quality care and proximity to their families and vital support systems. Of course, Texas Oncology is in majr cities like Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston, but the practice also includes cancer treatment centers in Amarillo, Beaumont, Cleburne and in smaller communities across the state – more than 175 locations in all.

Comprehensive care from Texas Oncology includes leading-edge treatments, research options, compassionate care teams and a community of support. Most cancer treatment is administered on an outpatient basis, and a very large percentage is provided in community-based cancer treatment centers. We offer access to a full spectrum of advanced treatment – from the newest chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment to the most technologically advanced radiation therapy as well as genetic testing and evaluation and genomic sequencing. Through Texas Oncology, patients are connected to sub-specialty care such as blood and marrow transplants; the Austin Brain Tumor Center, Texas Center for Proton Therapy, orthopaedic, gynecologic and pediatric oncologists, and a Myelodysplastic Syndrome Center of Excellence.
At any given time, more than 150 national clinical trials are available at Texas Oncology practices across the state. We’ve also played a role in nearly 60 FDA-approved cancer-fighting drugs, about one-third of all FDA-approved cancer therapies.
