Nationally renowned experts will join local physicians for a free community forum and lecture at the Harvey Convention Center on Friday. Organizers said the 18th Annual Tyler Breast Cancer Conference will showcase medical breakthroughs, advancements in prevention, and promising new therapies and treatment regimens for breast cancer.
The event begins at 6:15 p.m. with Dr. Svetislava Vukelja, associate director, breast cancer at Texas Oncology–Tyler and chairman of the conference, as the featured speaker.
“The presenters at this year’s Tyler Breast Cancer Conference are leaders in the fields of medical oncology, surgery, and research,” Dr. Vukelja said in a written statement. “We encourage Tyler-area residents and the medical community to attend and learn more about the latest developments in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.”
