Desperate Families Turn To Social Media in Search of Convalescent Plasma

Amid COVID-19, scientists are researching convalescent plasma as a potential treatment. But with a limited number of donors and growing demand, some families are turning to social media to find donors for the experimental treatment. Jeff Yorio, M.D., of Texas Oncology–Austin Central has treated four COVID-19 patients with convalescent plasma throughout April.
