During the Community Oncology Alliance (COA) Annual Meeting, Debra Patt, M.D., MPH, MBA, medical oncologist and executive vice president of Texas Oncology, gave an overview of the exciting new world of applied informatics in oncology. Dr. Patt explained that informatics is about problem solving, and referenced informatic initiatives in telehealth, data and the power of large numbers, and decision support.
