Bernard W. Taylor, M.D.

Co-Director, Radiation Oncology

Bernard W. (Bill) Taylor, M.D., is a member of the executive committee of the Texas Oncology board of directors. He serves as co-chair of radiation oncology for Texas Oncology and as chair of The US Oncology Network Reimbursement and Public Policy Committee. Dr. Taylor is board certified in radiation oncology.

Dr. Taylor specializes in prostate seed implants. Low dose rate (LDR) brachytherapy radioactive seed implants treatment uses radioactive materials inserted into body tissue in close proximity to the tumor to deliver high dose radiation in a permanent or temporary application. LDR brachytherapy is most often used to treat prostate and gynecologic cancers.

Dr. Taylor obtained his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1986. He completed his internship in oncology in 1987 and his residency in radiation in 1989, both at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Fla. He also completed a one-year American Cancer Society Clinical Fellowship in 1991.
