Biography:

Charles S. White, III, M.D., has served as vice president of Texas Oncology and as president of the medical staff at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas, since 1988, and on the Texas Oncology board of directors since 1986. He is a member of the executive committee of the board of directors. He is also a member of The US Oncology Network National Policy Board and The US Oncology Network Pharmacy and Therapeutics Executive Committee.

Dr. White specializes in medical oncology and hematology. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology.

Dr. White received his Bachelor of Arts in 1965 from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., and his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1969. He completed an internship in 1970 and a residency in 1971 in internal medicine at Dallas Veterans Administration Hospital, Dallas, Texas. Dr. White completed a residency in internal medicine in 1974 and a combined hematology and medical oncology fellowship from 1974 to 1976 at The George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Dr. White has been named among the best doctors by D Magazine for many years. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, and Texas Society of Medical Oncology.
