Alicia Poole, LMSW, is a licensed social worker. Alicia received her Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. She began her career as a discharge planner, working in various departments including the intensive care unit and emergency room as well as neurology, telemetry, and medical oncology.
In 2015, Alicia transitioned from the hospital setting and joined VITAS Healthcare as a social worker, where she provided hospice care in home and nursing facilities and created an on-call training resource manual for chaplains and social workers. In recognition of her work, she was twice named “VITAS BEST Social Worker of the Year.” She also served as a field director to university students at Texas Christian University and The University of Texas at Arlington.
After working one year at U.S. Renal Care, Alicia joined Texas Oncology in 2023, where she is working towards obtaining her Licensed Clinical Social Worker certification to provide mental health counsel services to cancer patients.
