Education
Dr. McClure received her M.D. in 1980 from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas; her internship and residency in internal medicine were completed at the same institution in 1983. She completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology in 1985, also at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Dr. McClure has received the National Merit Scholarship, the Regents-Alumni Scholarship for the University of Michigan, Phi Beta Kappa, National Science Foundation Fellowship, a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship, and the George F. Herrmann Cardiology Award.
