L. Andy Chen, M.D., is the Newest Physician to Join Texas Oncology


BEAUMONT, Texas – Dr. L. Andy Chen, a specialist in radiation oncology, has joined the cancer care team at Texas Oncology. He will practice at Texas Oncology–Beaumont and Texas Oncology–Jasper, two of Texas Oncology’s more than 150 cancer treatment locations in communities throughout Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.

Dr. Chen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Notably, he also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology from the University of Texas Medical Branch. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch and his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Utah, Huntsman Cancer Hospital and Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he served as co-chief resident.
