While at Texas A&M, Dr. Waghela was honored as a distinguished student in the department of biomedical science for three semesters, was on the dean's honor roll in the College of Veterinary Medicine, and was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society, as well as Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. She has authored and coauthored many articles in peer reviewed journals.
