General Summary

Dr. Kolluri is a board-certified, fellowship-trained breast surgeon, treating the entire spectrum of breast conditions ranging from benign to malignant disease. She is proud to be exclusively focused on breast health and disease. She performs numerous in-office procedures with ultrasound guidance, to assist in the diagnosis of breast disease, and coordinates closely with her medical oncology and radiation oncology colleagues to ensure that all her patients are receiving a comprehensive multi-disciplinary treatment plan that is tailored to their needs.

Dr. Kolluri’s philosophy of breast care is grounded in the principles of human-centered approach and evidence-based treatment. She pays close attention to all challenges facing the patient from all aspects of life, and crafts a treatment plan with the patient that works for her/his lifestyle. Her approach to breast cancer includes a careful consideration of breast sensation preservation, breast sexuality, cosmesis and survivorship challenges.

During a patient’s first visit with Dr. Kolluri, she will perform a formal risk assessment with the Texas Oncology Genetic Risk Evaluation And Testing (GREAT) program. She will assess risk factors for breast cancer, and calculate the patient’s lifetime risk of breast cancer. Dr. Kolluri is extremely experienced in the subject of genetic evaluation and assessment; if a patient meets the national standard criteria for genetic testing, she will carefully determine which specific genetics panel test is most appropriate, from an array of options available.

Dr. Kolluri is a Hidden Scar trained surgeon on and delivers optimal clinical and aesthetic outcomes for patients with breast cancer. She routinely utilizes Hidden Scar incisions such as peri-areolar, axillary and inframammary, with excellent cosmetic outcomes. For breast cancer patients, she will additionally place a BioZorb bio-absorbable tumor marker within the lumpectomy cavity.
