Ronald P. Williams, M.D.

General Summary

Ronald P. Williams, M.D., specializes in sarcoma and orthopaedic oncology. Prior to joining Texas Oncology, Dr. Williams served as professor, interim chairman, chairman, and residency program director for the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Williams has also held a number of academic, consultancy, and surgical positions at several well-known institutions such as Brooke Army Medical Center, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital, and Methodist Children’s Hospital, all in San Antonio; and McAllen Medical Center, among others. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he served as faculty advisor for many pre-and post-doctoral students and authored and co-authored numerous research papers about sarcomas, bone cancers, surgical techniques, and limb salvage.

Dr. Williams specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of malignant disorders of the musculoskeletal system including primary bone cancers, soft tissue sarcomas, and cancers such as breast, colon or prostate that have spread to the bone.
