Robert L. Ruxer Jr., M.D.

Robert L. Ruxer Jr., M.D., is a member of the executive committee of the Texas Oncology Board of Directors and a regional medical director. Dr. Ruxer specializes in medical oncology and hematology. Education

Dr. Ruxer earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. His internship and residency in internal medicine was completed at the United States Air Force Medical Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. His fellowship in medical oncology and hematology was completed at the Baltimore Cancer Research Center, now the University of Maryland Cancer Center in Baltimore, Md. Dr. Ruxer has authored and co-authored numerous articles in peer reviewed journals, as well as presenting at national conferences.

Dr. Ruxer is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American College of Physicians and Tarrant County Medical Society, and serves on the board of directors of North Texas Specialty Physicians. Dr. Ruxer was selected as a "Top Doc" in Fort Worth, Texas magazine in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
