General Summary

Gayle is the director of Texas Oncology’s Genetic Risk Evaluation and Testing (GREAT) Program. She provides education and operational support to genetic evaluators who participate in the GREAT program to ensure high quality genetic care.

In addition, Gayle is on the executive committee for the US Oncology Network GREAT Program. She feels strongly about the importance of knowing your family history and genetic testing for hereditary cancer.

Prior to being part of the Texas Oncology team, Gayle was a genetic counselor in a genetics clinic for the Seton Healthcare system in Austin, Texas, providing prenatal, pediatric, cancer and adult genetic counseling for six years.

When not teaching about genetics, Gayle loves to read, swim and spend time with her family. Gayle lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband and two daughters.
