In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, fellowship trained breast surgical oncologists Dr. Heather King and Dr. Julie Sprunt discussed oncoplasty options for breast cancer patients.

Debra Patt, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A., medical oncologist and executive vice president, Public Policy and Strategic Initiatives, partnered with Community Oncology Alliance (COA) to elevate the importance of treating cancer in minimally invasive ways with coordinated care teams that include social and financial support services to empower patients to continue surviving and thriving in their own communities.

More than 300 survivors, caregivers and volunteers attended the 2018 Austin Survive and Thrive Symposium on Saturday, March 3. Stephanie Howard with Triumphant Warrior shared her personal journey of perseverance and local and national experts presented on topics including late and long-term effects of cancer, the fear of recurrence, complementary medicine, and intimacy and cancer.
