Texas Center for Proton Therapy Medical Director Dr. Andrew Lee was invited to speak at the IBA Symposium during the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) conference, September 25–27, 2016. Experts from around the country were represented at ASTRO’s annual meeting in Boston, with more than 11,000 attendees each year. Highlights from the event include the latest in ground-breaking research and a variety of educational sessions.
Dr. Lee’s presentation, “The Future of Proton Therapy is Adaptive. Clinical Case on Imagining Technology Innovation,” provided important insights on new ways the cancer community can enhance treatment capabilities for patients through the use of advanced imaging tools, such as proton radiography. Dr. Lee is a renowned oncology leader, innovator, and researcher, with honors and awards from many organizations, including ASTRO.
ASTRO has more than 10,000 members, including physicians, nurses, biologists, physicists, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and healthcare professionals, all specializing in radiation therapy treatment.
