Mother's Day is this Sunday. Many of us will send a card or flowers and say 'Love you Mom.' But, for so many mothers, just the chance to be with their kids and family is what gives them the strength to keep going.
If you're a mom, you know you go and go and go. You give, you never ask for thanks or a vacation, you take care of everyone else. But, imagine being diagnosed with breast cancer at only 27 years old. A young woman just starting life with a young child of her own. On Good Morning Texoma, AJ Atherton shared her story with Lisanne. She and her Doctor, Tammy Roque with Texas Oncology talked about the challenges, the importance of early detection, the difference in being diagnosed at a younger age and most importantly a strong positive attitude that's helping AJ with her survival.
It's a story to make you smile, make you think and make you thankful.
