We answer our front office telephone during regular center hours at the following number:

Texas Oncology-South Austin is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you call the center at other times and require urgent medical attention, our answering service will take your call and notify your doctor immediately.

South Austin Cancer Center is conveniently located across the street from South Austin Hospital. Follow the blue signs (indicating “hospital”) from I-35 or Mopac (Loop 1).

From I-35:  Take the exit number 230B- toward US-290 West/Ben White Boulevard/TX 71/Johnson City. Take the exit toward South First Street/Banister Lane (0.9 mile). Turn left onto First Street. Turn right onto Radam Lane and a right onto James Casey.

From Mopac (Loop 1): Travel South on Mopac to TX-360 (Capital of Texas Highway). TX-360 becomes US-290/TX-71/Ben White Boulevard (1.1 mile). Take the exit to South First Street. Turn right onto First Street. Turn right onto Radam Lane and a right onto James Casey.

Emergency and After Hours:
If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, please call 911 immediately. Upon arrival at the emergency room, ask the staff to call your Texas Oncology physician at 512-447-2202.

If you feel that you need an immediate medical consultation or advice regarding a serious condition, do not hesitate to call your Texas Oncology physician at 512-447-2202. If you call outside of center hours, our attendant will page a physician on your behalf who will respond quickly. Since it may not be your personal physician who responds to your call, you should be prepared to provide the following information to the attendant on duty:

  • Your diagnosis
  • Any chemotherapy drugs you are taking
  • Your temperature
  • The phone number of your pharmacy

Medical Records:
If you or your physician needs copies of your medical records, please allow 3 to 5 business days for processing. Please contact us at the number below to obtain a release of information (ROI) form or to request more information.

Please include the following information with your request for medical records:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Date of services rendered
  • Date of request
  • Physician's name
  • The nature of your inquiry

You may mail or fax your medical record request to:
