Shawna L. Bull Phelps, M.D. specializes in Gynecological Oncology. She is board eligible in both Gynecologic Oncology and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Phelps’ clinic interests are fertility sparing and minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of gynecologic cancers and risk-reducing gynecologic surgery for women with an increased risk of ovarian, breast, or uterine cancers. Dr. Phelps has published and presented both clinical and basic science research in ovarian, uterine, cervical cancer, and risk-reducing gynecologic surgery.

Dr. Phelps received an M.D., in 2000, and training in obstetrics and gynecology from the University of Miami School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida where she was chosen by her faculty to be Administrative Chief Resident from 2003-2004. She completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
