Dr. Berryman received his undergradate degree, magna cum laude, from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, and his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He completed his internship and residency, both in internal medicine, at UT Southwestern in Dallas and his fellowship in hematology/oncology also at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Before going into private practice, Dr. Berryman was the attending physician in the emergency department at the VA Medical Center in Dallas and was assistant professor of internal medicine, division of hematology/medical oncology at the Harold C. Simmons Cancer Center at UT Southwestern. Dr. Berryman is currently the attending physician for the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Services at Baylor University Medical Center, and is the Medical Director of the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Services at Medical City Hospital of Dallas. Dr. Berryman is the principal investigator and the co-investigator for numerous research trials and has authored and coauthored many articles in peer reviewed journals.
