Jesus A. Gomez, M.D., and Ines J. Sanchez, M.D., Join Texas Oncology
Drs. Jesus A. Gomez and Ines J. Sanchez have joined Texas Oncology. The physicians will practice at both Texas Oncology–El Paso Cancer Treatment Center Grandview and Texas Oncology–El Paso Cancer Treatment Center Gateway. Texas Oncology has cancer treatment facilities throughout communities in Texas and southeastern New Mexico.
Dr. Gomez received his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He completed his residency in internal medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Gomez completed a fellowship in medical oncology at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in addition to a fellowship in hematology at Baylor College of Medicine, both in Houston. Dr. Gomez also received a Master of Science degree in health administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.
“I am thrilled to bring my existing practice in El Paso to Texas Oncology,” said Dr. Gomez. “All of our patients can expect the highest standard of cancer care with access to the latest and most advanced therapies in a warm, supportive, and comforting environment.”
Dr. Sanchez received her medical degree from The University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, after having graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science pre-med, also from The University of Puerto Rico. She completed her residency in internal medicine at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso. Dr. Sanchez completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
“I am proud to join Texas Oncology,” said Dr. Sanchez. “I look forward to working with the Texas Oncology team to help our patients in El Paso receive the best possible therapies and treatments.”
“Both Dr. Gomez and Dr. Sanchez are tremendous additions to our team at Texas Oncology. Their combined experience, along with their tremendous work in clinical trials, greatly enhances the quality of care Texas Oncology already provides in El Paso,” said Jayme Carrico, practice director, Texas Oncology.
Both physicians join Texas Oncology from the Center for Integrative Cancer Medicine in El Paso. Dr. Gomez is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Sanchez is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
