Texas Oncology–Amarillo Officially Opens Texas Breast Specialists

Texas Oncology–Amarillo today formally opened Texas Breast Specialists, a new state-of-the-art facility that provides the most advanced breast screening and diagnostic services in Amarillo, with an open house for the Amarillo medical community, local leaders, patients, and the public.
Texas Breast Specialists is dedicated to detecting breast cancer at the earliest possible opportunity when it is small and has the best chance for cure. The staff is led by John “Chip” Coscia, M.D., the first and only dedicated clinical breast radiologist in the Panhandle.
“Patients at Texas Breast Specialists receive the highest quality medical care provided with compassion and sensitivity by our entire staff,” said Dr. Coscia.
Texas Breast Specialists-Amarillo is accredited by the American College of Radiology and is a digital facility solely dedicated to advanced breast screening and diagnostic services. Texas Breast Specialists is the first facility in the Panhandle to offer Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging (BSGI). BSGI is a state-of-the-art examination and is the most highly sensitive and specific technology available to detect breast cancer in appropriately selected women.
