Amarillo Blood and
Marrow Transplant Program
Physicians and nurses at the
Amarillo Blood and Marrow Transplant Program (ABMTP) provide blood and marrow
stem cell transplantation services to patients, primarily those with leukemia,
lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and multiple myeloma. ABMTP is one of only
12 programs in Texas
that is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy,
having demonstrated an exceptional level of patient care and medical and
laboratory practices.
ABMTP also has been
designated a National Marrow Donor Program transplant center, so area blood
cancer patients now have access to the largest marrow and stem cell donor
registry in the nation. ABMPT was awarded this designation based on an
evaluation of its processes and physician training and experience, as well as
the clinical data produced from transplant patients.

designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of

Excellence became the first breast cancer program within 350 miles of Amarillo
to receive a three-year, full accreditation designation by the National
