ROSES: The holidays often remind us to be thankful for the blessings in our life and celebrations with the ones we love. Families reflect on time shared, while making new, precious memories that last a lifetime.

This season, on behalf of my colleagues at Texas Oncology, I want to honor the men, women and children who are undergoing cancer treatment or have fought against cancer during their lifetime. Last year alone, 10,162 East Texans trusted us with the most precious gift of all — their health. You are truly an inspiration for continuing the fight against cancer and helping us as we explore new, advanced ways to treat this disease. A special thank you also goes to the families and caretakers who have dedicated themselves to support their loved ones throughout their cancer journey.

It is a privilege to serve the residents of East Texas, and be a part of a community that emphasizes the value of health, happiness and family. We will continue to dedicate our lives to helping in the fight against cancer. Please join us by encouraging your loved ones to get regular cancer screenings. Early detection saves lives.
