Jane Chawla, M.D., Joins Texas Oncology

Dr. Jane S. Chawla, a specialist in medical oncology, has been named as the newest addition to the Texas Oncology–Austin Central team. Texas Oncology has cancer treatment facilities throughout communities in Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.
Dr. Chawla received her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After finishing her residency in internal medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, she completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Washington University in St. Louis.
“I’m excited to be a part of the incredible team at Texas Oncology that is focused on delivering high quality care to their patients,” said Dr. Chawla. “I look forward to serving the Austin community and to conducting research through clinical trials that could improve treatments for patients.”

Dr. Chawla has published many articles and participated as co-investigator and co-author on numerous clinical trials and research papers. In addition, she is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
