Suhasini Nadesan, M.D., Newest Physician to Join Texas Oncology–Amarillo
Suhasini (Sue) Nadesan, M.D., specializing in medical oncology, hematology, and geriatric oncology, has joined the leading-edge cancer care team at Texas Oncology – Amarillo, which is part of the 98 Texas Oncology cancer treatment facilities throughout communities in Texas.
Nadesan specializes in the treatment and care of patients with breast cancer. During the past 10 years, she has also been highly involved in geriatric oncology.
“I am proud to be joining Texas Oncology – Amarillo, where cancer care is the primary concern of every physician and nurse,” said Nadesan. “I firmly believe patients deserve high quality comprehensive cancer care with compassion in a state-of-the-art, supportive environment close to home with access to quality technologies and treatments.”
Nadesan attended Stella Maris College in Madras, India, and completed a six-year course in medicine at Madras Medical College. Once in the United States, she completed residencies and a fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.

Nadesan is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. She is board certified in medical oncology, internal medicine, anatomic and clinical pathology, geriatrics, and hematology. Dr. Nadesan also has certification in hospice and palliative medicine.
