Trisha Nichols is a Regional Coordinator for the Texas Oncology Genetic Risk Evaluation and Testing (GREAT) Program. Trisha provides educational and operational support to Texas Oncology GREAT Program providers in Dallas and Northeast Texas. She is committed to making high quality genetic services available to patients and their families, in their own communities.

In addition, Trisha is a member of the US Oncology GREAT Executive Committee and participates in multiple US Oncology GREAT Program sub-committees, focused on provider education and improving access to high quality genetic services across the network.

Medical Practice

Prior to joining the Texas Oncology GREAT team in 2016, Trisha was a genetic counselor in a general genetics clinic at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, providing prenatal, pediatric, oncology, cardiac, neuromuscular, and other specialty genetic care. Prior to pursuing a career in genetic counseling, Trisha worked as a research technician at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in Kansas City, Missouri.

Other Information

Outside of work, Trisha enjoys time with her busy family. She lives in Plano with her husband and two kids.

Trisha has a passion for genetics and the special needs community; she was previously sat on the advisory committee for the Children’s Special Needs Network in Central Texas, and she has participated in numerous community and educational genetic events. She currently serves as VPIII of Philanthropy for her national women’s fraternity alumnae chapter, focused on breast cancer education and awareness.
