Zachary R. Mucher, M.D., is certified by the American Board of Urology and is the previous chief of urology at David Grant Medical Center. He is interested in all facets of urology, including prostate disorders, kidney stones, female urology, urologic oncology, erectile dysfunction and vasectomy reversal.
Dr. Mucher, a native of San Antonio, Texas, completed his undergraduate training with a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He then completed his medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He graduated Alpha Omega Alpha, reserved for the top ten percent of medical school graduates nationwide.
After medical school, he pursued a career in Urology by completing his five-year residency at The University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, one of the most prestigious surgical and urologic training programs in the country.
Dr. Mucher was proud to serve in Iraq, acting as the sole Air Force urologist in theater during the troop surge of 2007, for which he received the Air Force Commendation Medal. He also received the Meritorious Service Medal for his service to his country.
