Texas Oncology in East Texas

Leading Innovation in Cancer Care for East Texans

With 15 sites of service, Texas Oncology in East Texas provides comprehensive cancer care to patients including medical oncology, radiation therapy, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology, and other services. Diagnostic imaging, lab services, and pharmacies are close at hand to make the process more manageable. With more than 30 years of providing quality care to local patients, Texas Oncology is a leader in community-based cancer care in East Texas.

Expanding and Enhancing Sites of Services To Better Serve East Texas Patients

Last year, Texas Oncology treated more than 35,000 East Texans. As the communities across East Texas continue to grow, Texas Oncology is expanding access to cancer care in the region by enhancing and growing its sites of service. In the summer of 2023, the practice will open a new facility in Pittsburg, Texas.

Paving the Way for New Breakthroughs in Cancer Research

Texas Oncology continues to grow its footprint as an industry-leading cancer research hub in Texas. In 2022, Texas Oncology, in collaboration with CHRISTUS Health, opened Northeast Texas Cancer and Research Institute, an 85,000-square-foot facility in Tyler. This comprehensive cancer center provides East Texans access to groundbreaking cancer research, innovative treatments, and leading-edge technologies in a community-based environment.

Texas Oncology physicians and patients in East Texas participate in a wide range of clinical trials with more than 8,100 patients treated through eligible participation in more than 550 cancer research studies. Today, more than 70 clinical trials are open across the region.

Providing Access to Cancer Care Close to Home

At Texas Oncology, East Texans don’t have to travel far from home to receive comprehensive cancer care.

Gynecologic Oncology

The gynecologic oncologists in East Texas provide thorough evaluations and treatment plans using innovative therapies and leading-edge technologies such as minimally invasive, laparoscopic, or robotic surgical techniques.

Radiation Therapy

Texas Oncology offers radiation therapy at five sites of service across East Texas. The radiation therapy team is comprised of radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists who provide robust modalities including imaging, computed tomography (CT) simulation, image-guided and external radiation therapies, respiratory gating, brachytherapy procedures, and more.

Surgical Oncology

Texas Oncology Surgical Specialists provide advanced and less invasive surgical options such as laser, Mohs, laparoscopic, or thoracoscopic surgery to diagnose, stage, and treat cancer. This industry-leading surgical team serves as a part of Texas Oncology patients’ cancer care team in East Texas.

Urology

Texas Urology Specialists provide comprehensive urologic care in East Texas from pre-screening, testing, and diagnosis to the ongoing treatment of urologic conditions for both men and women. These urologists are fully integrated with Texas Oncology and offer seamless care alongside patients’ oncologists.

Genetic Testing and Evaluation

Texas Oncology offers in-depth genetic testing and evaluation in East Texas that assess early detection and cancer risk for individuals with a significant personal and/or family history of cancer.

Patient Support Services

Treating cancer and blood disorders goes beyond medicine. Texas Oncology’s East Texas cancer centers provide a wide range of support services for patients and caregivers, including educational services, financial counseling, survivorship, and support groups.
