Texas Oncology offers a variety of services to assist you with all aspects of your advance care planning needs. The advance care planning process ensures that your future healthcare wishes are met. Through a multi-disciplinary meeting, we provide counseling services with a specially-trained physician, nurse, and social worker who will guide you through the decision-making process and help you communicate your end-of-life wishes by committing those decisions to legally-binding documents in the form of advance directives, medical power of attorney and/or a do-not-resuscitate order.

Our staff can also help you understand the process of choosing a healthcare advocate who will act on your behalf regarding medical treatment in the event that you are unable to communicate. We also assist patients and families in understanding their medical treatment options with palliative and hospice care.
