Vivek Kavadi, M.D., specializes in radiation oncology and is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Kavadi serves on the Texas Oncology Board of Directors. He is also the medical director of Radiation Oncology and Radiation Research, the chairman of Cancer Center Services Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee and National Policy Board for US Oncology.
Dr. Kavadi graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rice University in Houston, Texas, where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa National Honorary Society, was a national merit scholar, and received several scholarships for high academic standing. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received honors in radiation therapy, surgery, psychiatry, ophthalmology, medical oncology, and pediatrics. He completed a transitional internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas from 1988 to 1989 and a residency in radiation oncology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston from 1989 to 1993 where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Kavadi serves on the Health Policy Council and Government Relations Committee of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and Gilbert H. Fletcher Society.
